         Quality of the internet system is very high in Korea. Our everyday life has been comfortable due to the internet system. But people's the internet system consciousness is very low. People curse and are much violence in the internet. And they attack somebody by writing comments in the internet. Why do they attack them? I think that they don't have guilty conscience about attacking somebody and writing malicious comments in the internet because of not having responsibility. And the people's anonymity is guaranteed in the internet. Because of that, they write malicious comments or wrong information and attack somebody freely. So I think we need the internet real name system.

          First, Responsibility. people need to have responsibility in the internet. They don't have guilty conscience about attacking somebody and writing malicious comments or wrong information in the internet because their anonymity is guaranteed in the internet. If their anonymity is not guaranteed in the internet, do you think that they write malicious comments and attack somebody in the internet? My opinion is 'No'. I think they write malicious comments without guilty conscience because they aren't damaged by attacking somebody or by writing wrong information. So, We need the internet real name system.

          Second, the anonymity. They attack somebody because anonymity is guaranteed in the internet. So they write wrong information and attack somebody by using their anonymity. If the internet real name system disappear, malicious comments will be pile up. On the other hand, If the internet real name system is maintained, people will not write wrong information and attack someone in the internet. So We need to maintain the internet real name system.

          Anyone who claimed we need to remove the internet real name system say about data spill and freedom of expression. Corporations try to protect people's data and they must protect people's data. Protecting data is their duty. And freedom of expression accompanies responsibility to use the internet. But people think that freedom of expression is that they say their opinion freely. It isn't right. Saying opinion accompanies responsibility for expression. So, freedom of expression isn't to say opinion groundlessly. Freedom of expression will be guaranteed if people write comments reasonably. Also, if the internet real name system is maintained, people won't write wrong information and the cyber crime will decrease. So, I think we need to maintain the internet real name systems.

Social Commerce

About Social Commerce

   Since SNS(Social Network Service) appeared, The word 'Social' has been a popular word in Korea. And Social Commerce made an appearance in Korea. People liked the new shopping system and purchasing coupon of product at low price. And the social commerce provides people with many kinds of coupon from food to home appliances at low price. Do you think social commerce provides us with the good product at low price? My opinion is 'No' and that the social commerce has many problems.

   First, Profits. Coupons of restaurants which is sold by social commerce company have a limited use period. So the coupons should be used for a short time. Many consumers flock to restaurant for a limited use period. Restaurant are overloaded by many consumers for that period. Eventually, Both the consumer and the owners of restaurants are damaged. The consumers aren't satisfied with service and quality of food and the restaurants lose a reputation despite of low price because of a limited period. If you are a consumer of the restaurant, will you go to the restaurant again? Only the social commerce company get a great benefits. 

   Second, Verification. The social commerce company have ever sold the imitation product. This problem was a issue in the news. The social commerce company is a major company and it should check the a distribution process and a quality of a product before the product is sold. But it distributed the unauthenticated product to consumers. It was responsible for this situation.

   Also, social commerce company claims that it sells from 40% to 90% a discounted product. But the owners of the restaurants control the basic price of a  product for selling the coupon in the social commerce only. Although social commerce company sells discounted coupon of restaurant, the price of the coupon is not cheap because of the high basic price. And the owners of the restaurants target only a social commerce consumer.

The verification of social commerce is very weak.

  Sometimes the social commerce company sells good item at good price. The catching the good chance is a happy event. But I think people should not trust them completely and people should check carefully the information.

  Lastly, I have a question. What is the difference between a social commerce and a group purchase? I think a social commerce is a group purchase of a different sort. What do you think about that?

Power Blogger

About Power Blogger.

  To find any information, we use search engines of the portal site in the internet such as Naver, Google and Daum. Because all of the portal sites provide people with the blog, we can be easy to contact the blog during searching information. The bloggers supply people with good information which was direct experienced by the bloggers. So, people have received good information from them. The bloggers have power which can move people. People trust the bloggers now that they don't have any information. People are enthusiastic about the bloggers' information. But now we can't trust their information completely. Because the bloggers promote merchandises or restaurants after the they receive the money from sellers or owners. This is business. So, I think we need to restrict the blogger through the strong law.

  The bloggers earn much money without tax. Blogging is good job. The bloggers don't have to pay tax and they just enjoy taking photo and blogging with new merchandises and delicious foods. But they blog wrong information or lie. It is big problem. In that people trust them, people get the damage by using the bloggers' information. In case people accept the damage, the bloggers don't get the damage.

Also, The sellers and owners through the blog don't take the damage and they don't refund people's money to consumers.

Those kinds of cases take place frequently. Therefore, we need ability to distinguish lie from the blog. Now our law of governing the blog is very weak. So, the blogger and sellers use its vulnerable point. Because If they pay a fine, the fine is smaller than their income.

So, I think we need to ability to distinguish lie from the blog and the law of governing the blog will be tightened.

The Blackout

About the blackout.

  Accidentally on Tuesday 21 September 2011, our University was the blackout after we discussed the blackout. KEPCO say the blackout of 15 September 2011 occurred because of consumer's excessive electricity consumption. Also, they say electric rates in Korea are lower than that in other countries and electric rates should increase in order to avoid the blackout. Do you think the consumer should be responsible for the blackout? I don't think so.

  The blackout on 15 September 2011 in South Korea is because not only the consumers used excessive electricity consumption but also Korea Power Exchange expected wrong electricity consumption(Article -> http://www.dt.co.kr/contents.html?article_no=2011092702010232614001). The consumers used similar electricity consumption of the previous day. But KEPCO insist that the use of electricity should be restricted and they want to raise electric rates by 10~15 percentage(Ariticle -> http://sbscnbc.sbs.co.kr/read.jsp?pmArticleId=10000325869). KEPCO and Korea Power Exchange charge off their mistake to the consumers' that. The consumers can't control of the use of electricity very well. Because they just use the electronic equipments made by large companies. The consumers have a right to use electronic equipments. If the consumers have a responsibility for the use of electronic equipments, there are large companies' mistakes. Because the electronic equipments are made by large companies. Therefore, They should control of power consumption of the electronic equipments.

  In presentation about the blackout, I learned that factories of large companies have private power stations. Before I learn it, I thought large companies was huge damaged during the blackout. But they can reduce their damage because of private power stations. On the other hand, the consumers receive huge damages related to life such as accidents in amusement park and in elevator during the blackout.

  KEPCO and Korea Power Exchange only want to earn much money and want to avoid the responsibility. But they exist for nation's the comfortable use of electricity. So, they need to think about their reasons for the existence and attitude to be responsibility for this matter.

Hosting Olympic Games.

What is your top criterion to host Olympics in your country? I wonder whether your opinion would be changed or not after knowing that the hosting country actually can suffer from hosting Olympics.

Did you want Pyeongchang to be selected as the venue for the Winter Olympic games? So, Why did you want Pyeongchang to be selected as the location for the Winter Olympic games? As you know, it is good to host the Olympics in our country to us. If we host the Olympics in our country, we will have Indirect benefits as well as direct benefits. So, everyone wants to host the Olympics in their country. However, If the hosting Olympics accompany the loss, are you still going to host the Olympics in your country? We should think carefully about hosting the Olympics.

Governments want to host the Olympics because they expect many profits from the Olympics. But, the problem is that it is just expectation, nobody knows how it is going in the real future.

To host the Olympic games, Governments of the venue for the Olympics should spend heavy money to make stadiums and to develop transportation and facilities. Because they expect that the hosting Olympics will make a huge profit, they are willing to loan while they spend money. But if heavy money spent by government aren't collected after hosting year, the country of venue for the Olympic games would receive great damage. So, governments which wanted to host the Olympic games must exactly expect profits for the Olympics.

Governments couldn't host the Olympics without any preparations.

Before venue for the Olympic games is selected by IOC, IOC examine the proposed sites. But proposed sites can turn in wrong data about their real situation. For example, Nagano in Japan and Vancouver in Canada changed prearranged skiing course to other skiing course because of environmental problem during Olympic period. therefore, to be selected as the site for host Olympics, governments have to prepare and show them to IOC in the real world, not just plan. So, governments should make a real action to prepare and heavy money must be needed.

My opinion about the criteria for a successful Olympics is that the Olympics is not for money or profit but for people through the sports. So, before the Olympics is hosted, everyone who wanted to host the Olympics should think carefully about whether to fit a venue for the Olympic games.

Early-childhood English education

About early-childhood English education.

  Nowadays, We can see foreigners easily in korea. Have you ever received questions from them? Which did you speak english or korean to them? Have you ever been to overseas? Did you speak english in overseas? As you know, we need to speak english and know english grammar. Because English has been essential in korea. I guess that you think that English is essential in korea. I think about early-childhood English education problem suggested in this presentation. So, I think we need early-childhood English education.

  First, English is a language used all over the world. So, Korean should use English to survive in the world. English is essential in the world at the moment. English is no longer an option.

  Second, We have no natural resources in korea. As you know, Korea is not a big country and have no natural resources. We just have human resources. We need to have good human resources. Korean who have good ability should be able to communicate with people of other countries. So, we should have good english skills.

  Third, English is a language. We can't learn to English skills easily in a short period of time because English is a language. We need to have a long period time to learn English. If we study English in a long period time, we will be able to use English exactly.

  Fourth, When we are a child, We should study English. Because linguistic skills of people are lively when people are young. So, Early-childhood English education is important to linguistic skills.

  Many people worry that early-childhood English education has no effect to children' English skills. But, Children need many opportunity to learn to English. English should not be a major obstacle of their life. So, I think we need early-childhood English education.

Street Vendors

About Street vendors(street stalls)

Have you ever walk in major downtown such as Nowon Street, Konkuk University street and Jong-ro street? When people walk in street, we can see street stalls anywhere. Street stalls was convenient. But now, street stalls don't do. Almost street vendors are poor people. Street vendors want to earn much money. So, they want to use more cheap ingredients and more land of outside their street stall. Is it really good to us? I think street stalls isn't good to us. So, I think government should control street stalls.

First, Food hygiene. Almost street stalls sell foods. But We can't exactly know ingredient of food. They don't have water supply facilities.

They use water to make foods. Do they use safe water? And, We can't know this problem. And around 60 million germ was detected in fish cake(Uh-muk) which is foods in Jong-ro street stalls.

Second, extended street stalls. Street vendors expand their street stall to street. So, people can't walk in street due to street which became narrow. People can't walk in street every weekend and holiday. This problem should be corrected. Because people can get hurt in narrow street. In addition, street vendors get angry to sell more food and merchandise to customer. Is it normal?

Third, Tax. They don't pay tax. But they pay money to gangster to protect their street stall. Street stall is illegal. They work not for us but for their profit only. 

After this presentation, I thought that street stalls don't help us convenient. So, I thought street stalls should be struck. On the one hand I thought they are poor and street stalls are our culture. Therefore, I think government should regulate the number of street stalls in street and appoint the place of street stall. Government should think about this problem.
